IM8 Experience: Week 1

This is the first entry into my digital journal, keeping track of my experience with IM8, the new all-in-one supplement produced by Prenetics in partnership with David Beckham.

It’s important to know that the effects of a supplement need time to take hold in the body, so I will be doing a full 1-month test.

IM8 is called this because it has been designed to improve the status of 8 health markers. The 8 are:

  • Immunity: improving your immune response and resilience to illness
  • Energy: increasing your energy via key vitamins and nutrients
  • Renew (cell renewal): support healthy cell renewal with the best ingredients
  • Hydrate: support proper hydration with essential electrolytes
  • Cardio: support cardiovascular health with ingredients that maintain and support healthy blood vessels and heart function
  • Nourish: offer a complete list of ingredients that include a variety of top quality nutrients and benefits
  • Digest: provide pre and probiotics
  • Cognitive: support healthy cognition with vitamins, minerals and mushrooms that support optimal cognition

I’m going through all of the different ingredients and their benefits in another series, so you can check those out here.

For this series of posts, I’ll provide you with a weekly update of how I am feeling as it relates to these 8 health markers.

This is how week 1 with IM8 went.

Daily Impacts

To kick things off, I’d like to share how each day went. I won’t bore you with too many details, just the little things I noticed.

Day 1: A bit of a struggle

I had been on a hot streak of getting to the gym 4-5 days per week, I was really beginning to enjoy cooking and I thought I was in a great place to start IM8.

But then I went out this weekend and one thing led to the next and I was out far too late. At the ripe age of 30, hangovers and late nights leave me feeling really blah for at least 3 days.

So I started IM8 on day 3, hoping it would kickstart me feeling back to myself again.

What I actually felt was sick. It’s like my body wasn’t ready for all the goodness. So day 1 was tough, but I got through it.

Day 2: A Brighter Day

Thankfully I woke up on day 2 feeling much more like myself. So when I took my IM8 the response was far more positive.

Out of all 8 health markers, I would say that digest has been the most obvious. I was hoping it would be, as I see digestion as a major sign of internal health.

So if IM8 is going to get that sorted out at the start, I am here for it!

I would also say that there was less brain fog (cognitive) and more energy as well. I even got out for my first hot girl walk of 2025, which is something I look forward to all winter.

Day 3: Things Are Moving

Similar to day 2, the digest effects seem to be the ones I feel most in these early days. As I also said on day 2, this is great for me. I want my digestion to improve. I want to be a regular girlie who goes morning and then maybe again in the evening, but in a way where it is quick and efficient and without strain.

I am also adding more cardio into my workout routines, so the hope is that by challenging my cardiovascular system, I’ll end up benefiting even more from the nutrients in IM8 that support heart health.

Day 4: Feeling Energized

This was the best kind of Friday. My workout was amazing in the morning. My work day went smoothly. I was feeling really inspired to cook and test new recipes and be creative.

The vibes were very high, and I was even experiencing a breakthrough bleed in my cycle. Nothing could tear me down.

Is it because of IM8, or is it because it was a sunny Friday on the second day of Spring? Could be both. Either way it was a very positive day and I loved knowing that I had taken so many of my essential nutrients and the very start of my day.

Day 5: Healing Elixir

Despite my best intentions to have a slow weekend, a casual catch-up chat with a friend turned into a late evening of dancing. I never regret the dancing, but it is tough to operate on just a few hours of sleep as the body detoxifies the drinks from the night before.

When I took IM8 on this day, I really felt like I was doing the absolute best thing possible for my body. It just felt good that even though I didn’t do much and I was feeling overtired, I still had a good dose of healthy nutrients supporting my body through the recovery.

Day 6: Normalizing IM8

Day 6 was a fairly uneventful day, so taking IM8 was just about maintaining the habit and supporting my body with high-quality nutrients. Energy levels were steady, mental focus was completely focused on binge-watching old seasons of Southern Charm, and bowel movements were still in recovery from my late night (iykyk).

Day 7: A Special Kind of Euphoria

The change up from the weekend to the start of my week was wild. Maybe it is because I chose to rest, or maybe it is because the effects of IM8 are really starting to take hold, but today was a very special day for my body.

Mental focus was amazing. I had a couple of work calls, and any customer-facing person knows that when you have a client call, that is just so good. I felt competent; my thoughts were all being shared with the client as expected and I didn’t get a crazy 2PM energy slump, which is usually so distracting and can really throw off my mood.

Lastly, the special kind of euphoria – which may be TMI – but I would like to call it “poophoria”. You know when your stomach just hasn’t been right and going #2 just isn’t satisfying. Then, after days of struggling, you have a great poo day? In the moment I know this was the work of IM8 because I have struggling to correct my digestive issues this winter, but today was a great day on the loo.

Week 1 in Review: The 8 of IM8

To review how this first week went I would say my body’s response was to be expected. I threw some curve balls in there by starting on a low energy day, and having a late night of drinking in the mix, but I think this is a good thing.

I don’t want a supplement that only works when I am doing everything else “perfectly”. I know a supplement will work best in that scenario, but I want a supplement that supports my authentic lifetsyle, including all of the good days, bad days, hangover days, cheat days, and everything in between!

So here’s how I rank each of the 8 health markers for the first week of using IM8:

  1. Immunity – 7/8: Sometimes late nights and lazy weekends can lead to me feeling under the weather the following week. Although it didn’t cure my hangover, I did feel protected against the sniffles.
  2. Energy – 4/8: It took a few days to feel my energy change, but if Day 7 was any indication, I have a feeling this rating will improve as this test progresses.
  3. Renew – 6/8: I am somewhat lukewarm on this on. The one area where I think my body may be renewing and feeling a sense of vitality is my skin! I feel like my skin looks really even toned these days.
  4. Hydrate – 8/8: Speaking of great skin – I believe the hydration components in IM8 are working beautifully. My lips have remained moisturized, I felt like my hydration levels were supported during my lazy hangover day, and my skin is looking very plump and hydrated.
  5. Cardio – 5/8: I think this factor is something I may notice over time. I would love to check my blood pressure at the halfway point and then again at the end to see if IM8 has had an impact on this. My heart rate variability and resting heart rate did fluctuate quite a bit these past few days, but I attribute that to changing sleep schedules. With that said this week’s data will be great baseline data to compare to at the end of this test.
  6. Nourish – 8/8: I think this rating will stay high throughout the test. I am deep into my research into the ingredients they’ve included in IM8 and every single ingredient was well thought of and they really did work to choose the best ingredients possible. I am thoroughly pleased and very confident that when I take IM8, I am getting great nourishment just from this one supplement.
  7. Digest – 6/8: Despite my raving review from day 7 of this week, it did take some time for IM8’s digestive impacts to take hold. My digestion was kind of all over the place the first few days. This is another metric that I am confident will improve over time.
  8. Cognitive – 6/8: The mental acuity and decreased brain fog was only felt on day 7, but again, I think it is a sign of great things to come. The fact that I am writing this at 7:50PM after working a full day, doing my taxes, and testing 2 new recipes is a testament to the impact IM8 is already having on my cognitive function.

Week 1 average rating: 6.25/8: Hydration and nourishment stood out as the strongest benefits, keeping my skin plump and my body well-supported. While energy, cardio, and digestion took longer to show effects, I’m optimistic they will improve over time. The early signs of cognitive clarity and immune support make me excited to see how IM8 continues to work in the coming weeks.
