How affiliate marketing works
Affiliate marketing is a type of marketing that rewards websites and content creators like myself for promoting brands via affiliate links. Affiliate links include special tracking information that allows the brand to know when I have referred a sale, and therefore know to pay me a pre-determined commission rate for referring that sale to their website.
It is important to note that my goal is to provide helpful tips and information to help women do something good for their bodies every day. As part of this goal, I will only work with brands that I have either tried myself, or have had direct experience with (friends or family have tried, or I have done extensive research on).
How do I make money from affiliate partnerships?
In order for me to earn commissions, I will have to build the trust with my audience so that when I write a piece of content and recommend a product, that they trust my recommendation and make a purchase from my website.
The key is that my audience clicks on my links and then makes a purchase immediately. If you click on one of my links, but then go to a coupon or cashback website, that website will earn the commission instead. How to work with me
If you are a brand and would like to work with me via affiliate, let me know! I aim to only work via affiliate partnerships, and while I am building out the website, all partnerships will be based on commissions and samples (ie. no flat-fee, influencer-style campaigns for now). If you would like me to review your product or include it in an upcoming gift guide or blog post, please reach out to affiliate@rileypearce.ca with your affiliate program details, the product(s) you would like me to test, product details that you’d like me to highlight in my content, and if you will be offering any other incentives along with the sample in exchange for a product review (custom code, temporary commission increase, etc.)
