Brands I Trust

There is a lot of noise out there in the fitness and health industry, so I wanted to create a sole source of truth for the brands that I trust and that I use regularly to support my healthy lifestyle every day.

As a former personal trainer, with formal education in fitness and health promotion, including courses in nutrition, anatomy, biomechanics, and exercise physiology, I am incredibly strict with what products that I add to my life.

To be honest, most of the products out there are gimmicks, they are poorly researched and designed, or they are a product that solves a problem that nature or healthy lifestyle habits can support.

So when you go through these brands, know that I have either been using them for over a year (minimum) and that I have had a positive experience using them. They also have to live up to their marketed hype. For any of the products that I haven’t had the chance to test myself, I have done thorough research into them and am following public trust signals, such a the Canadian Winter Olympic team partnering with Kala Light Therapy.

To support this website and me, I have established affiliate partnerships with all of these brands. This means that I may receive a small commission anytime you purchase through links on my website at no extra cost to you. If you want to learn more about how I partner with brands through affiliate links, you can do so on my affiliate partnerships page.

IM8

IM8 has been a game-changer and a money-saver for my supplement game. I now only need about 4 supplements in my cupboard, instead of having over 10.

GymShark

GymShark is my go-to activewear brand. I love the styles, the price, and that they have a wide variety of seamless leggings and shorts. They’ve been a favourite since 2018 and have yet to be dethroned.

Organika Health

For the things the IM8 can’t do, I often turn to Organika. As a Canadian brand, they have been part of my healthy lifestyle for a long time, and I continue to restock their products the moment I run out.

Other Brands I Trust

Adidas

My go-to brand for training footwear since I started playing competitive soccer back in 2004!

The Supernova Stride (pictured to the left) is my current running and training shoe and I am loving them so far!

Hydroflask

I have had many water bottles in my time as a soccer player, basketball player, personal trainer, and certified gym girlie.
Through them all, I have always come back to my 40oz, wide mouth hydroflask that I got back in 2018.
It keeps the contents cold for up to 24hours, I never worry about mold, and I love their dedication to preserving nature.

Kala Red Light Therapy

As I mentioned above, Kala Red Light Therapy is a brand that I haven’t had the chance to try myself, but is the only red light therapy brand I feel comfortable promoting.
There are much cheaper options available on Amazon, but this brand designs some of the best quality red light devices out there.
They are so well trusted the the Canadian Olympic Winter team made them their official recovery partner, which says something.

Hevy

I have been using the Hevy app since October 2024, and it has become one of my most-used apps. My friends have joined, and they find it motivating for tracking personal bests.

The social aspect is fantastic, as I can see my friends’ workouts each morning. While the free version is great, the Pro version offers the best experience, and at $60 for a lifetime subscription, it’s reasonably priced.

Arrae

I discovered Arrae in the summer of 2025 when my social media feeds were flooded with Tone review videos. Initially, I had concerns about its marketing as a weight-loss, toning creatine supplement. However, after three months of trying Arrae Tone, I was pleasantly surprised by its benefits. This led me to research the brand further, and I now consider them a hidden gem/secret weapon brand.
