About Me

For most of my life, movement wasn’t a choice—it was my normal. Starting team sports at age four, and being one of 4 girls, meant that I was always on the move.

From competitive swimming, to high school basketball to my ten years in competitive soccer, so many of my best memories are from times where I was moving my body and exploring all the amazing things it could do.

My deeper obsession with working out came from the years of intensive conditioning sessions led by trainers for our local OHL team, and nutrition coaching that were organized to support my competitive soccer team.

This early exposure to the mechanics of high-performance health was formative. I was the friend who was always creating workout plans for everyone, so when it was time for a career pivot, leaving Earth and Ocean Sciences for Kinesiology and Fitness and Health Promotion was a natural, and validating leap.

I graduated with honours from Georgian College’s Fitness and Health Promotion program in 2017 and became certified with the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP)—the gold standard for fitness professionals. For years, I dedicated myself to working in a boutique personal training studio, specializing in helping women develop deep confidence in their bodies while crushing their unique fitness goals.

Then, the world changed. A pandemic-era shift to the marketing side of my job eventually led me to a completely new path: a desk job at a global tech company.

Now, I spend 8+ hours a day behind a screen, just like you. I understand the reality of balancing a demanding professional and social life with the constant desire for long-term health.

I created this website for women in their 30s who are trying to manage that exact balance. I’m still the dedicated trainer, but now I channel that passion into staying on top of the latest fitness research, testing new gear, gadgets, supplements, and training plans on myself. Consider me your perpetually engaged fitness insider, here to cut through the noise and share the strategies and insights that help us stay strong, healthy, and happy, even when life has us firmly planted in a desk chair.
